Kalapathar means "black rock" and is a black rock ridge in the Everest region. The highest point is at 5,644 meters and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding 8,000-meter peaks. It gets cold and windy here, and you can hardly tear your eyes away from the surrounding peaks. The jacket of the same name will keep you warm even here and protect you from the elements. 30. April 2025Die bisher überzeugendste Daunenjacke, die ich verwendet habe. Ich nutze sie seit etwa einem Jahr regelmäßig – sowohl bei Skihochtouren als auch beim klassischen Skifahren – und bin durchweg begeistert. Die Daunenqualität und Bauschkraft sind exzellent – selbst nach mehrfachem platzsparenden Zusammenquetschen bleibt die Isolationsleistung erhalten. Im Vergleich zu den Jacken eines bekannten Schweizer Herstellers, die ich zuvor getragen habe, stechen insbesondere zwei Punkte positiv hervor: Erstens überzeugt der Reißverschluss durch deutlich höhere Qualität und Zuverlässigkeit. Zweitens ist eine zusätzliche Innenlage verarbeitet, die das Austreten der Daunen effektiv verhindert – ein Problem, das ich bei anderen Jacken regelmäßig hatte, vor allem in Kombination mit Merino-Funktionsunterwäsche. Bis etwa -10 °C wärmt die Jacke sehr zuverlässig, und selbst bei -15 °C ist es mit etwas Bewegung noch gut auszuhalten. Bei rauen Wetterbedingungen kombiniere ich sie meist mit der alpine Hardshell Jacke– funktioniert hervorragend. Toll ist zudem, dass dieses Produkt vollständig in Nepal entwickelt als auch hergestellt wird – also im Herzen des Alpinismus.

27. Januar 2025Vor dem Kauf war ich etwas skeptisch, ob die Jacke wirklich so gut ist, wie versprochen. Doch nach einigen Wochen Nutzung kann ich ganz klar sagen: Das ist die beste (Daunen-)Jacke, die ich je gekauft habe. Bei den meisten Jacken hatte ich immer das Problem, dass sie an den Ärmeln viel zu weit waren oder der Schnitt allgemein einfach nicht richtig passte. Dadurch zog ständig der Wind rein. Mit dieser Jacke ist das endlich anders. Perfekte Passform statt Müllbeutel-Look – endlich! Und das Beste: Kein Wind mehr, der sich ungewollt hineinschleicht. Top Produkt!
